Rome Clean and Green would like to have as much community participation in our upcoming clean-up events around the City of Rome. Below is a listing of meetings and events. Please contact us with questions about these events!

Upcoming Board Meetings, Events, and Volunteer Opportunities – Open to the Public

Monthly Board Meetings are held on the Second Monday of each month at 6:00 pm at Birnie Bus Service, 248 Otis Street, in the upstairs conference room.

Committee Meetings are held at the convenience of each working group. CONTACT US for more details on the projects that interest you!

Great American Clean Up – Each year, Keep America Beautiful Affiliates across the nation come together to clean up our neighborhoods, parks, trails, and waterways. Here in Rome, we celebrate the arrival of spring with clean up and beautification initiatives from April 1 – May 31, with special events throughout this time period. Groups hosting their own events are strongly encouraged to REGISTER their activities with Rome Clean and Green, and then REPORT their results so that we can measure the volunteer impact. We also invite you to be a part of one of our very special Great American Clean Up activities!

Honor America Days Parade and Concert Events – Volunteers are encouraged to join us in preparing and cleaning up the parade route and concert site on the happiest day of the year in Rome, NY! This year, Honor America Days kicks off on Saturday, July 28th. Our Cleanup efforts help to Keep Rome Beautiful.

We are also constructing a float and will be walking in the parade distributing small trash bags to help with reducing parade litter. We invite you to join us!

National Planting Day – September 2018

Wine and Art CHAIR-ity Auction – Mark your calendars for Saturday, November 3rd as we host our third annual fall event, combining beautiful art, delicious wine and food pairings, and local entertainment at an ideal venue – Woods Valley.
